Professor of Theology and dean of Study Abroad programs, Dr. Gregg Quiggle, recognized
On Tuesday, Feb. 7, Moody Bible Institute professor of Theology and dean of Study Abroad programs, Dr. Gregg Quiggle, received the 2017 Faculty Citation Award.
The award was presented to Dr. Quiggle by the Alumni Association during the Tuesday morning session of Moody’s annual Founder’s Week conference. Each year the Alumni Association honors a faculty member for his or her distinguished service to students.
“Gregg has had a consistent record of excellence as an instructor and colleague,” said Dr. James Spencer, vice president and dean of Moody Bible Institute. “His most recent work on Moody's Study Abroad program is an excellent example of his passion to educate students well and to prepare them for a lifetime of ministry. He is a committed, energetic member of the faculty and it has been a pleasure to get to know him and work with him during my time at Moody."
Dr. Quiggle, who is celebrating 30 years with Moody this year, has been instrumental in expanding Moody’s Study Abroad program. Annually, Moody sends 150 students around the world to study subjects such as church history, theology and the Bible in the places they occurred.
